The Case Against Q Studies in Markan Priority and the Synoptic Problem Mark Goodacre About the author Mark Goodacre is Senior Lecturer in New Testament at the Department of Theology at University of Birmingham, U.K. (appointed in 1995). He earned his B.A. (1988), M. Phil. (1990), M.A. (1994), and D.Phil. (1994) from the University of Oxford. His research interests include the Synoptic Gospels, the Historical Jesus and the Gospel of Thomas. In addition to The Case Against Q, Goodacre is the author of The Synoptic Problem: A Way Through the Maze (The Biblical Seminar, 80; Sheffield: Sheffield Academic Press / Continuum, 2001) and Goulder and the Gospels: An Examination of a New Paradigm (JSNTSup, 133; Sheffield: Sheffield Academic Press, 1996). He is best known for the award-winning internet site, The New Testament Gateway, the web directory of academic New Testament resources.
